After 39 years in Corporate America, I am retiring.
Don’t get me wrong, I loved my career! Loved it! I started managing teams at 25, (and yes, EVERYONE was older than me, Tough to navigate, but I figured it out!) The very best part of my journey has been Managing people, leading teams to the next level and my favorite- mentoring my adoring co -workers and comrades – those folks HUNGRY for the next promotion, wanting to PROVE their BRAND with a stretch assignment and of course- to FIND THEIR VOICES. Oh, lets not forget one last and certainly not least reason to mentor- People needing to move from under a Boss. Period. Lets face it, folks leave a job because of a bad boss, not because of the company.
With 35 years of management experience, you name it and I have probably seen it. The good, the bad and the ugly.
My sincere passion is to listen intently, ask questions to understand the real issues( the real issues are never brewing at the top, you have to work your way down deeper to the root of issues). I aspire to ask deeper and deeper questions, to understand what is really driving career roadblocks , to share my own experiences and to connect by showing my own vulnerability. IT is a fact that when we let down our guards, THIS is when the sincere connection and gift of mentoring /coaching can grow. IT is when we reach this connection core, this is where together, we can cultivate our self-confidence, our self- awareness and our emotional intelligence
